Bone carving is a prehistoric art which involves the process of carving animal bones...especially antlers and tusks. Carved bone has been used since prehistoric times by most cultures for jewelry, figurines, and utilitarian items like knife handles. This pendant is made with a resin that simulates an antler or bone carving, but at a fraction of the cost. The spiral measures 1 3/4" tall by 1 1/2" wide. The faux-leather cord has two wooden beads above the pendant and will adjust from 11" to 20".
